Saved By The Egg!!

As I have mentioned I found the process of setting up this blog unbelievably complicated.

I’m not interested in the technology and I don’t have the background knowledge to figure out which bit of the (sketchy) instructions I overlooked.

Yesterday I received and early easter present from Josh Spauldingwho has a very down to earth marketing blog at http://ez-onlinemoney.com/blog/ .   He announced that Caroline Middlebrook was hosting an online Easter Egg Hunt with a prize of her new Stumble Upon Ebook .  Now I’ve never heard of Caroline Middlebroook but I took a look at her blog and boy am I glad I did!!!  She has a free ebook available on her site about……………. yes you guessed - setting up Wordpress!  If only I’d known about it when I was setting up this blog.

I spent a lonnnnnnnnnnng time hunting for the eggs on her site as I was absorbed by every page I read.  I have still only checked out a fraction of the material there, but I will definitely be re-visiting on a regular basis.

Here’s a random seltion of some of the interesting stoff you can find on her site.

Have fun

SBI Website Case Study Day 1

Today I have set up the look and feel for the site.

I have written and published 4 pages.  (that was a lot easier than trying to get the page formatted on here last night!)

It looks like I’m going to have to  rewrite the page I wrote on here last night as it just won’t format and there’s another page that I cant find in the dashboard.

I have to say that this is my first experience of wordpress and it has been a nightmare compared to building the SBI site, so if you can cope with wordpress you can certaily build ab SBI site
